Careers at Alpha Trans

Drive for a carrier that owns its trucks — and backs its drivers.

We are hiring experienced AZ / Class 1 drivers for cross-border and domestic routes. Company trucks, consistent miles, and home time that is actually home time.

Alpha Trans is a family-owned carrier that has been in business since 2002. Our drivers are not numbers on a dispatch board — they are people our management team knows by name. The Saini family has run this company for 24 years, and our turnover is low because we treat drivers the way we would want to be treated: respect, fair pay, and equipment that works.

We run 200 company-owned tractors on established lanes between Ontario and ten US states. That means consistent miles, predictable routes, and a dispatch team that works with you on scheduling — not against you. We maintain our own fleet at our Brampton shop, so the trucks are late-model, well-kept, and ELD-compliant.

What we offer

The details drivers actually care about.

Company equipment you can trust, lanes that keep you moving, and a dispatch desk that answers when you call.

Company equipment

Late-model, company-owned tractors maintained on a 15,000 km cycle at our own Brampton shop — not a leased truck someone else neglected.

Cross-border lanes

FAST-approved, trusted-trader lanes to the major crossings. If you want to run the border, we run it every day.

Dispatch that answers

24/7 live dispatch that knows your load and your lane. When something goes sideways at 3 a.m., a real person picks up.

Home in the GTA

Based at 105 East Drive in Brampton, at the centre of the GTA transportation corridor — close to home, close to the highways.

Consistent miles, predictable routes

Established lanes from Ontario to ten US states.

No sitting around waiting for a load. Our dispatch plans ahead, so your next load is lined up before you deliver the current one.

  • Cross-border runs to California, Texas, Illinois, Arizona, and more — FAST card assistance provided.
  • Mileage pay for highway drivers, hourly for local, paid weekly with no first-cheque holdback.
  • Late-model tractors on a 15,000 km maintenance cycle — no owner-operator risk on your shoulders.

How to apply

Four steps to your first run.

  1. Send your resume

Email your resume and a recent driver abstract to info@alphatransltd.com, or call dispatch and ask for driver recruitment.

  2. Quick conversation

We talk through your experience, the lanes you want to run, and the home time you need — a real conversation, not a portal.

  3. Road check & paperwork

A short road assessment and the standard compliance paperwork. FAST card holders fast-track straight to cross-border lanes.

  4. Get your truck

You are assigned a late-model, in-house-maintained tractor and your first run — with dispatch already planning the load after it.

Driver questions

What kind of drivers is Alpha Trans hiring?

Experienced AZ / Class 1 drivers with a clean abstract and a professional attitude, for cross-border and domestic lanes out of Brampton. FAST card holders and drivers with cross-border experience are a plus, but we will train the right driver to run the border.

How does driver pay work, and how often am I paid?

Highway drivers are paid by the mile; local GTA drivers are paid hourly. Pay runs weekly with no holdback on your first cheque, plus bonuses for a clean driving record and tenure. We line your next load up before you deliver the current one, so your miles stay consistent instead of sitting and waiting.

What will I be driving?

Late-model, company-owned tractors maintained on a 15,000 km preventive cycle at our own Brampton shop — ELD-compliant and GPS-tracked. We own and maintain the equipment, so you are not handed keys to a unit that should have been in the shop two weeks ago, and there is no owner-operator risk on your shoulders.

Is the home time real, or just a recruiting line?

It is real. Local GTA drivers are home daily. Highway drivers get regular, predictable home time — we do not promise you home time and then dispatch you to California on a Friday. Our turnover is low precisely because the schedule we describe is the schedule you run.

Will Alpha Trans help me get a FAST card?

Yes. We provide FAST card assistance so you can run the trusted-trader lanes to the major crossings. Cross-border experience is preferred but not required — if you have the abstract and the attitude, we will help you get border-ready.
