Cross-border freight is not just trucking with a border in the middle. It is customs documentation, bonded-carrier status, FAST-approved drivers, CT-PAT audits, and a dispatch team that knows the difference between a B3 and a 7501. Most carriers can get a truck across — the question is how fast, how reliably, and what happens when something goes wrong at 2 a.m. on a Saturday at the Ambassador Bridge.
Alpha Trans has run cross-border freight since 2002. Our drivers carry FAST cards, our trailers are pre-cleared, and customs brokerage coordination is included in every shipment — not a line item you discover on the invoice. We hold six border programs, run as a bonded carrier in both countries, and provide daily capacity to ten US states from Ontario with committed equipment and familiar drivers.

Capabilities
California, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Washington — routes we run every day with committed equipment, not occasional spot-market lanes.
Border issues do not keep business hours. Real-time satellite tracking with border-crossing timestamps, a dispatch desk staffed around the clock, and full liability and cargo coverage on every load.
How it works
We coordinate with your customs broker or ours so the manifest and entry are transmitted before the truck reaches the booth — not assembled in a truck-stop parking lot.
Our FAST-carded driver and pre-cleared trailer take the dedicated trusted-trader lane at Windsor, Fort Erie, or Sarnia.
As a CT-PAT and PIP carrier, the load is processed as a known, low-risk shipment — minutes at the crossing rather than hours in the general queue.
Live GPS with border-crossing timestamps runs the whole way, and 24/7 dispatch is one phone call if anything needs attention.
Six: CT-PAT and FAST for expedited US clearance, PIP for trusted-trader status into Canada, CSA for streamlined import accounting, SmartWay for verified emissions reporting, and HAZMAT for regulated goods. We are also bonded in both countries.
At the major crossings, the dedicated FAST lane can save an hour or more during peak periods. Because our drivers are FAST-carded and our trailers pre-cleared, your freight is processed as a known, low-risk shipment instead of waiting in the general queue.
We coordinate with your customs broker or ours, and documentation is pre-staged and transmitted before the truck reaches the border. Brokerage coordination is included in the service, not a surprise line item on the invoice.
We run daily capacity to ten states — California, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Washington — with committed equipment and familiar drivers, not occasional spot coverage.
Our dispatch desk is staffed 24/7 — weekends, holidays, 3 a.m. on a Tuesday. One phone number, a real person every time, with live tracking and border timestamps so we already know where your load is.
Ready when you are
No hold music, no call tree, no broker passing you along — a dispatcher who knows our fleet, our lanes, and your load.
